April has been a big month for Adult SEO Training. We've had a lot of new training members joining and the site is starting to get really busy. Of course, most of the activity is through the Private Q&A system and from questions sent directly to me by email. Please post your questions and ideas on the member boards, not only will you be contributing to our growing Adult SEO community but you'll be able to get more feedback and suggestions from others other than myself.

Much of our recent growth has come from new columns I've been writing for both XBIZ World and YNOT. I've also been establishing some great strategic partnerships with many big programs in the industry. This means you all have a lot of new training material and member activity to expect over the next few months!

Now onto a few Adult SEO tips strategies.

Ahrefs vs Open Site Explorer

First of all, I'd like to thank a member of ours for pointing out a great SEO tool, https://ahrefs.com/. I've used http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/ for years and it's always worked well for me (and I've come to rely on its very accurate and useful Page Authority as a value metric). But he helped to run some comparison reports which showed the advances Ahrefs have made in recent months. They now have a much larger database than Open Site Explorer, and their bot is able to crawl sites much faster as well. What this means to you is that you will now see more accurate data through Ahrefs than with OSE. They will crawl more of your links, they will show you a fresher view of links you recently gained or lost and they have a very useful dashboard for giving you a birds-eye view of where your links come from (including a very handy graph showing how many of your links are site wide). After seeing this I bought a pro membership for $79/mo and imagine I'll keep it long-term. (I have no affiliation with them at all, just sharing what's working best these days).

Panguin tool

An SEO friend of mine recently sent me a link to another great tool I'd like to share with you all: http://www.panguintool.com/. This tool shows how Google algorithm changes may have affected your site by providing an overlay of algorithm update dates to your own Google Analytics. Comparing algorithm change dates with stats is something we've all done for years (or should have been doing!) but this tool just makes it much easier. You can jump into your stats and can immediately recognize any problem areas. Big time saver.

Custom Google Analytics Dashboards

A webmaster on GFY posted an unusually useful thread earlier this month where he shared some custom analytics dashboards he made: http://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1106256. I tested them out on one of my analytics accounts and found some useful and time saving reports. So give them a try, all you need to do is click the links and choose which of your accounts you want to use them for. They will give you some great insight into your traffic.
